Objective of this Class: With your domestic sewing machine, you can create heirloom quilts. This beginner class will cover topics ranging from marking your quilt, batting choices, pinning your quilt, working with stencils, free motion fills, grid work, to alternate ways to transfer designs to your quilt tops. Learn to pin your quilt and prepare it for quilting. Then dive in and practice free-motion stitch in the ditch, quilting loops, curves, and straight lines, all using your home sewing machine.

The goal of this class is to build your piecing and cutting skills and introduce new techniques. It is suitable for anyone comfortable with a rotary cutter and a ?? seam. The techniques in this class are designed to be more challenging. At the end of this set of classes, you?ll not only have a gorgeous wallhanging, you?ll have learned more techniques to take with you on your quilting journey.

Using strip-sets and a wedge tool, create a Bargello color wheel table topper or wall hanging, or even turn into a tree skirt for next Christmas. Breaking the process up over two days allows us to learn the process of creating strip sets that don?t bow, working with a wedge ruler to cut wedges from the strip sets, and creating a layout to stitch together.

This fun quilt looks complicated, but goes together very easily with the same jelly roll strips, plus borders for a glorious finish. Create strip sets and then cut the strip sets into triangles. Reassemble the triangles into intriguing blocks that come together for a fun quilt! Beginner friendly!
